The project shows my personal perception of my journey to USA. When I visited our family who ancestors had emigrated to America in 1940. The series includes moments from their everyfay life, their ways to work, from calm evening at home. But it is not just happiness there, colours and success, how many people imagine the american dream. There is also more sad, or just very common side of life, very often quite materialistic. Under the surface of smiles and orderlines are problems as well. Country of many possibilities are becoming melancholic for some time, where people are feeling a nostalgy and thinking about their ancestors. In memories of older emigrants are still places where they have been born and family members who stayed at home in Europe.
